The latest offering of Chanel is a beach set, created in their signature boucle fabric and sporting the classic Chanel black and white color story. The set is part of the Metiers d’Art 2016 Paris in Rome collection, and is currently available in many of their retail locations. The fabric this time however, is created out of amore beach-friendly terrycloth version of the traditional wool boucle, and is therefore actually as functional as it is beautiful to look at.
The set consists of a large, double-handled tote and beach mat set, which comes replete with the sort of detailing on it that one would expect from one of their tailored jackets. So this set would make a great gift for that beach-crazy friend who has everything.
Chanel is a brand that has been long-associated with luxury, so their latest offering for a summertime gift for the friend who has everything should come as no surprise. In the past, they have dipped into everything from sneakers to table tennis paddles , so in the whole scope of some of their more outrageous luxury offerings, this one is actually more on the pragmatic side. However, in the spirit of the summer season, we felt that the sheer size and quality of their latest creation does deserve a moment of appreciation
