Long before Louis Vuitton was known for clothing, they were famous for their travel-ready luggagetrunks and the brand has tapped into this rich heritage to create a new, lust-worthy accessory for fall. The handheld trunk is available in a range of colors and materials; those looking for a classic might opt for the iconic monogrammed leather while orange, silver and muted pink are at hand for the more adventurous.
Louis Vuitton has updated their classic luggage trunks for the brand’s ultramodern Fall 2015 RTW collection. The clothes may have been rich in eye-catching silver and fur, but the brand’s metallic vanity case inspired handheld trunks stole the show. Rendered in materials like aluminum and copper, ultralight carbon and even transparent fiberglass, the trunks promise to be hot property in the coming seasons.
Of all the major European luxury houses, Christian Dior's status in the handbag world has arguably risen the most over the past few seasons, and that means we (and many of you) look forward to a new line from the brand more than we ever have before. Dior's Fall-Winter 2015 bags are now available (in part) for perusal on the brand's website, as well as in your friendly neighborhood Dior boutique (if you live in a really, really nice neighborhood), and we have all the photos.
We already filled you in on Dior's new design launch for the season, the Dune Bag, and below, you'll find it, plus new iterations of the Lady Dior, Diorama, Be Dior and Miss Dior. As has been increasingly true over the past several years for brands at the top tier of the luxury bag game, there is a noticeable emphasis on ever-pricier exotics.
It seems like Chanel puts out new bags at an almost impossible pace, and now it's time for another new set to lust after. Chanel's Fall 2015 Pre-Collection bags have arrived in stores as well as to the brand's online lookbook, and we've got all the images and price information below.
The most notable new addition in this group is new hardware for some of the Boy Bags, although it's termed as the "Original Clasp." I checked runway photos from the Boy Bag's Fall 2012 debut and those bags used the same clasp hardware as most Boys have, so the term "Original" seems odd, unless perhaps this was the hardware design first created for the bag and was later replaced before production. (There is, of course, a possibility that this clasp design is instead from somewhere else in the vast Chanel archives.)
Other than that, what's available in the pre-collection will look familiar to Chanel fans: the brand's favorites in new fabrications and embellishments. Check the collection out below.
What is this cute bag… you ask! Well, it’s our favo collection from Givenchy, from the Antigona line. Remember the Givenchy Antigona Clutch Bag (not the squared one)? It’s a beautiful mini-sized Antigona Bag with a wrist strap, basically more like a clutch bag.
But anyways, read: Givenchy Antigona Leather Clutch
This bag has the similar design, but sharper because the mix of color makes the logo stands-out more. I love it in pink as its beautiful to carry for the evenings. Givenchy calls this bag a beauty case but you can wear for in the evenings too. The new embellishment is the strong presents of the studs around the edges. It also comes with a wrist strap for more comfortable carrying.
It’s certainly a ‘must have’.
For those that are still hunting for the Pandora Bag (but can’t find the right color), perhaps this helps. Just like the Beauty Case, this season’s version comes with studded edges from the top to the bottom. This Pandora bag also comes in full black, in case you want to go all-the-way-safe. It features a beautiful front-zipper with a strap and its famous for the edgy-style of carrying.Other Brands
The latest ad campaign for Celine is here and it features a few iconic bags from the Pre-fall 2015 Collection: theTrotteur Shoulder bag and the Belt tote bag. This season’s Trotteur gets a little makeover and includes a front metal closure versus just a hidden button below the flap. The campaign is photographed by Zoe Ghertner. This season’s campaign noticeably lacks the model Daria Werbowy who appeared on numerous campaigns for the brand.

Four times a year, Céline treats us to a preview of what's up and coming from the brand's sought-after handbag line, and today is one of those days. The Céline Fall 2015 handbag lookbook (or Pre-Fall 2015, by more common taxonomy) has arrived, and it's full of both new shapes and returning favorites.
You will see plenty of Luggage Totes and Trapeze Bags below, as well as the newer Belt Bag, but pretty, petite Tab Bag and Sangle, Seau and Sangle Seau bags all make their debuts. This line is full of less weirdness and more attractive, functional bags than Céline's previous few have been, and although I don't think there's a budding It Bag in its ranks, it's a solid line that should sell.
What this lookbook lacks, for now, is pricing information. When and if that's released, we'll add it to this post.
